Dr. James VanHeest, M.D. General and Vascular Surgery

 My Practice:
I very much enjoy discussing appropriate medical care with my patients and their families. I have special training and interest in Vascular Surgery in addition to my General Surgery Training.
 My Education:
I received my Medical Degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 1973. My General Surgery internship and residency were both completed in Milwaukee at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. I completed a Vascular Fellowship Program in Columbus, Ohio in 1990. I am Board Certified in General Surgery. I am the Director of the Vascular Lab at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
 My Interests:

I very much enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and boating, especially in the North Woods.
