I received my Medical Degree from Khyber Medical College at the University of Peshawar in Pakistan in 1980. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1997. Before coming to the U.S., I gained 15 years experience in the medical field, working primarily in Family Practice Medicine and Internal Medicine. I also received specialized training in Diabetes and Cardiology at the University Hospital in Birmingham England and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Pakistan. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine. I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), London, England. In January 2003, I was elected as Fellow of the American College of Physicians. In 2007, I received recognition from National Committee for Quality Assurance for taking good care of my diabetic patients.

I am the Director of Primary Care at Wisconsin Health Fund and believe in preventive health care, patient advocacy and patient education. i have a special interest in treating patients with high blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes. I was recognized for treating patients with diabetes by NCQA. I also teach students and residents of the Medical college of Wisconsin.

I enjoy listening to music and traveling with my family. I am active in charity work.
